At Taller San Jose, students train for 16 weeks in medical, construction, and office careers, learning trade fundamentals, like terminology and technical skills. Customer service, safety, professionalism, and other business skills are woven into the curriculum.
Graduates are typically hired as:
- Admitting clerks or medical assistants
- Administrative assistants, office clerks, customer service representatives, or data entry specialists
- Framers, drywall hangers, roofers, plumbing or electrical interns
Training that simulates the workforce
Before acceptance into their training program, candidates must:
- Possess right to work documents
- Pass a drug screen
- Pass an initial interview
Throughout their 16 weeks of training, students must:
- Comply with uniform standards
- Be present daily and on time
Students that do not meet these expectations and requirements are dropped from the program.
