The 17th Annual Light Up A Life gala will be a festive evening with a silent auction, amigo scholarship drive, raffle, gourmet dinner, video presentation and alumni speaker.

To maximize the resources and efficiencies of the gala we have selected a new and more centrally located venue, the Turnip Rose Promenade & Gardens, to better utilize technology to streamline registration, auction bidding and cashiering while ensuring the students and mission remain the focus of what promises to be a truly inspiring evening as we celebrate the accomplishments of Taller San Jose’s graduates.

16th Annual Light Up A Life Gala

On September 22, 2012, Taller San Jose hosted 500 guests, including Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, US Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and Santa Ana Mayor Pro Tem Claudia Alvarez, at its 16th Annual Light Up A Life gala, raising over $500,000 in net proceeds. The gala included a vibrant silent auction, a delicious meal served by Turnip Rose Elite Catering, an inspirational program that included alumni speaker, Jessica, and a video by DGWB Advertising. Taller San Jose awarded Mission Hospital, St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare, St. Joseph Hospital and St. Jude Medical Center with this year’s Best of Friends award.

Auctioneer, Jim Nye, treated guests to an exciting live auction and Amigo Scholarship drive. The night culminated with the grand prize drawing for a 2013 Chevy Volt, generously donated by Guaranty Chevrolet of Santa Ana.
