Steps to Success
We know from experience that it takes time to stabilize a young life in crisis. As a result, Taller San Jose developed seven Steps to Success to assist young adults on the road to self-sufficiency. Program components work to help each young person accomplish the following seven goals:
- Complete your high school education
- Master basic computer skills
- Get your driver’s license
- Register to vote
- Open and use a bank account
- Remain crime and drug free
- Secure a job that pays more than minimum wage
Achievement of these goals assists students in building productive lives, and learning the values of reliability, responsibility and trustworthiness.
